A license logo can look reassuring, but any website can place an image in a footer. The useful question is whether the operator identity and exact domain can be checked through a reliable source. Treat the badge as a starting clue, then verify the details that affect your own account.

A badge is a claim, not a decision
A logo is usually selected and displayed by the website itself. It may be old, cropped, copied from another page or linked to a different business. It does not tell you whether the page you are visiting is the same domain covered by the claim.
A real verification step is independent: open the regulator’s source yourself, search the operator name, compare the exact address and record the date. The result still does not promise a bonus, payout time or a particular support outcome.
- Do not use a screenshot as your only evidence.
- Check the address bar letter by letter, including the domain ending.
- Keep the operator name and the date you checked together.
Compare three identities before you continue
Start with the name shown in the public record, then compare it with the legal or company information on the site and the domain currently open in your browser. A familiar brand name is not enough if the legal entity or domain changes without explanation.
For the official-source step, use the PAGCOR Guarantee workflow described in our PAGCOR verification guide. If the names do not line up, stop and contact an official route rather than a number supplied by a pop-up.
| Check | Record | Stop when |
|---|---|---|
| Registry result | Operator name and date | No reliable result or an unexplained mismatch |
| Website identity | Legal name and domain | Only a brand slogan is shown |
| Payment terms | Limits, ownership and review rules | The terms are missing or keep changing |
What the logo cannot prove
A badge cannot prove that a promotion is available to every player, that a payment method is eligible, or that a pending withdrawal will be approved. It also cannot replace reading the current bonus and cashout terms.
Use the badge only as one part of a wider decision. Our withdrawal pending timeline explains what to record if you have already requested a cashout.
- Licensing claim: verify independently.
- Promotion claim: read the offer terms.
- Payment claim: confirm the method and ownership rules.
- Support claim: use the authenticated help route.
A practical stop condition
If the official result, operator identity and exact domain cannot be matched, do not make a small test deposit. Save the URL and screenshots for your own record, then leave the page. A low-value deposit does not make an unclear site safer.
Method and limits: this guide explains a verification process and does not make a legal determination or guarantee an outcome. Provider records and terms can change, so check the current official source immediately before acting. Gambling is for adults aged 21 and over and is not a source of income.
